How was this model designed?

This model was designed using publicly available material from the internet including CAD models, videos and pictures.

What are the differences between SPACESHIP-S1 and SPACESHIP-M1?

The SPACESHIP-S1 is similar to its bigger version, the SPACESHIP-M1. The main difference between the two models is their engines. Due to the small size of the 1:96 scale, it is not possible to print the engines with the same level of detail as per the 1:48 scale on FDM printers. Hence, the engines on the S1 have been simplified and they do not gimbal.

No, it has a much simplified version of the R4PTCR-M1 , so not as detailed.
