OLM-S3
Price range: £50.00 through £300.00
What is this?
This is a 3D printed 1:96 scale model designed loosely based on the Orbital Launch Mount (OLM)
This OLM-S3 model was designed with functional “hold down clamps” to hold the BOOSTER-S3 model the same way as the real one.
If you have already purchased the OLM-S2, you DO NOT need to purchase the full OLM-S3 STL files. Instead, you can just purchase the OLM-S2 Update which includes all new parts of the S3 version
Inspired by past, current, and future Space exploration missions, we designed a full 3D printable set model of Spaceship, Booster, Orbital Launch Mount (OLM) and Orbital Launch Integration Tower (OLIT) at 1:96 scale with a goal of using it to inspire young children to study more about space science and other STEM subjects.
Please note: Morethan3D Ltd does NOT have any business relationship or association with Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (referred to as SpaceX). Although our space models may reassemble SpaceX’s hardware designs, our models are designed with visual cues from publicly available material from the internet (e.g. photos, videos), combined with our own imagination and tweaks. Therefore, Morethan3D models are not accurate replicas of SpaceX’s products. Our models are not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with SpaceX.

What are the differences between OLM-S3 and OLM-S2?
OLM-S2 represents the Orbital Launch Mount configuration for the Orbital Flight Test #1.
OLM-S3 represents the Orbital Launch Mount configuration for the Orbital Flight Test #2, hence, it has a number of additional parts to reflect the changes that took place on the actual construction. This includes:
- New design for Leg_3
- Additional staircase to Leg_3
- New steel cover_7 to accommodate the new staircase (Leg_3)
- New Water Cooled Steel Plate added to the bottom of the OLM
- (Optional) Retainer ring to keep the 2mm dia rods in place (these rods connects the Booster Quick Disconnect (QD) Lid to the Body)
- I’ve also updated some existing parts to make them more robust – the spiral staircase is now attached to the original staircase (Leg_5) via magnets
Frequent questions
-
Does the model come fully assembled or as a kit?
The model comes as a pre-assembled kit, all magnets are pre-fitted so it’s really easy to assemble.
-
Does the model come in a cardboard box?
Yes, the model is well packed. It comes in a box filled with foam and bubble wrap.
-
Is the OLM-S3 compatible with both BOOSTER-S2 and BOOSTER-S3?
Yes, it is.
-
Does the STL also include the SPACESHIP and BOOSTER models?
No, they need to be purchased separately.
-
Can the "hold down clamps" on the OLM-S3 extend and retract to hold the BOOSTER-S3?
Yes, the OLM-S3 has a built-in mechanism which allows the “hold down clamps” to extend/retract to hold the BOOSTER-S3.
-
What is the minimum build volume that I need to print this model?
Your printer need a minimum build volume of 200x200x168mm.
